Be your own Cheerleader!

So many a times we lose heart when all the efforts we put in are either not recognised or worse still condemned as “not good enough”.
We often complain that lack of appreciation demotivates us.

Success is very ephemeral when the motivation is extrinsic.

Snippets from my favorite poem IF by Rudyard Kipling sums what I have mentioned above.

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too…….

If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same…..

If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: ‘Hold on!’…..

Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

The will to continue to “hold on” will come only when you are brimming with self -belief.
Self belief in essence is if you can be your strongest cheerleader when everyone around is downplaying your talents and skillset…
If you can continue to fight to succeed when everyone around you deems you a loser even the people you count on the most…

If the barometer for success is the appreciation of others, then we give the control of motivation to those who appreciate us.
True long-lasting success will eventually come when you continue to show up every single day, without compromising on the efforts you put in despite a complete lack of appreciation from external agents.
Continue to grow, continue to learn, continue to be your own strongest cheerleader.

I am my strongest cheerleader and my boldest motivator and I see my efforts pay off every single day ….. That’s what truly matters

How about you????

Be your own Cheerleader!
